This release includes new features, updates, improvements, and bug fixes for ArcGIS Location Platform as of September, 2026.
New features
- ArcGIS Static Maps service: Static maps introduces two new endpoints:
with-polygonandwith-overlay. - Introduction of Agentic coding and MCP services. This new feature of ArcGIS Location Platform will continue to grow and cover more services as the capability matures.
Updates
- Enabling Pay-as-you-go is now done on the billing / payment methods page. It was moved from the summary page to help improve the user experience.
- Documentation improvements updating and consolidating Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
- In the help guide, the application development and deployment topics have been split into separate pages, improving the clarity and purpose of these important topics.
- Geocoding and Routing services addressed a bug where certain specific API key validation conditions failed. While this only affected very few users for a very short period of time, it has been addressed.
- Basemap styles service updated the
unitedworld view with Lake America.States Of America - GeoEnrichment service deprecated Landscape variables.
- A bug was addressed to correct one-way road arrows when using OpenLayers with ArcGIS vector tiles.
- Routing service updated street data quality improvements.
