What is ArcGIS Location Platform?

ArcGIS Location Platform is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) product that gives developers access to location services, data services, spatial analysis services, APIs, and tools to build mapping applications. It also provides developers the ability to host data as data services. When developers sign up, they receive a ArcGIS Location Platform subscription and ArcGIS Location Platform account. Subscriptions contain a free tier of usage for select location services and pay-as-you-go options are available. Billing occurs for service transactions, data usage, and data storage.

• Sign up for free: create a free account to access quality location services, maps, data, mapping APIs, and developer tools.
• Build and enrich: build innovative apps and enrich them with authoritative data. Create visualizations in 2D and 3D. Perform advanced spatial analysis to gain insights.
• Pay as you go: pay only for what you use with our consumption-based business model that is transparent and easy to understand.

What do I get with ArcGIS Location Platform?

Signing up gives you an ArcGIS Location Platform subscription with the following:

• One ArcGIS Location Platform account with access to a single-user organization.
• Access to all ArcGIS mapping APIs.
• Access to all location services, content and data services, and spatial analysis services.
• Securely store and access your content and data with a Basic feature data store hosted in US infrastructure.
• Access to a portal with tools that can be used to prepare maps, layers, and data for applications.
• A monthly free tier of service transactions that includes the following:
  • 2,000,000 Basemap tiles
  • 500 Places searches
  • 100 Place attributes
  • 100 Address attributes
  • 100 Details attributes
  • 100 Location attributes
  • 20,000 Geocode searches (not stored)
  • 20,000 Simple routes
  • 5,000 Service areas
  • 250 MB Feature service storage
  • 250 MB Tile, file, and attachment storage
  • 125 MB Hosted feature query bandwidth
  • 125 MB Hosted feature edit bandwidth
  • 25 GB Hosted vector tile bandwidth
  • 25 GB Hosted map tile bandwidth
  • 25,000 Tiles published
• Community support

What types of apps can I build?

ArcGIS Location Platform comes with a commercial deployment license, giving you the ability to deploy any type of app (private or public) built on top of ArcGIS location services, as long as you follow the permitted uses and restrictions described in the ArcGIS Location Platform Agreement.
